Supporting the health and development of our young people with recent emphasis on tackling the growing incidence of obesity among children, has been a consistent theme in our activities.
In 2005, we developed the Dromona Sports Award, pledging £5000 per year to NI’s most promising young sports person. Click here for more details about the Dromona Sports Award.
Through our 3-A-Day campaign, we are also actively working to promote healthy eating habits encouraging young people to build up their calcium intake from an early age to help build strong bones and healthy teeth. Click here for more information on our 3-A-Day campaign.
Over the past 5 years the staff of United and Dale Farm have contributed to a number of diverse fundraising initiatives and donations which have fostered an association with Marie Curie Cancer Care, directly benefiting the provision of nursing care to hundreds of cancer patients and their families throughout Northern Ireland.
We also carry out various community focused ‘Doorstep Appeals’, most recently supporting NI Foster Care in its call to enlist more local foster families. Our milkmen are also regular winners of the Dairy Council ‘Milkman of the Year Award’ for their ongoing community contribution.
