With a range of dairy products from low fat Spelga yogurt to functional foods like Dromonas Probiotic cheddar, Dale Farm is leading the healthy eating agenda in Northern Ireland.

For the modern dairy consumer, products must increasingly improve in both health and taste. Customers are now more attentive to labels and will scrutinise packs. The challenge for Dale Farm is to clearly display the contents of their products and emphasise the important attribute of freshness. Like many processors today, Dale Farm are working closely with retailers to ensure our food labelling highlights our healthy eating message, is responsible and meets the needs of the consumer.

For Dale Farm, innovation is key to our success. In 2006, we introduced 25 new products into the marketplace and we work hard to keep abreast of health trends. For instance, we focus on the natural benefits of dairy products and encourage healthy eating in children through the promotion of the 3-a-day dairy diet (1 glass of milk/1portion of cheese/1 portion of yogurt) our range of Shakie milk and extensive school milk programme.

Healthy eating is important for adults too and Dale Farm has introduced a number of products, which taste great and provide the calcium and nutritional benefits of dairy products but with reduced fat. Notable among these are Dale Farm’s "The One" milk which has only 1% fat, Spelga Fat Free Yogurt, Dromona Half Fat Butter and Dromona Half Fat Cheese.
