Dale Farm and Asda join to launch ‘Don’t forget your Bag for Life’ initiative
Asda shoppers can ‘bag’ an early Christmas present on Saturday 5th December as NI’s largest dairy company Dale Farm teams up with the supermarket giant for the first ever ‘Don’t Forget your Bag for Life’ extravaganza – giving away hundreds of free, exclusive Dale Farm ‘Bags for Life’ to lucky NI shoppers!
With the busiest shopping month of the year fast approaching Dale Farm and Asda believe the message to send plastic ‘packing’ and embrace reusable bags is more important than ever, and as part of the awareness campaign will be giving away up to 1,500 limited-edition Dale Farm bags. 100 bags – usually retailing at £3 each- will be on offer in each of Asda’s NI stores giving even more value to Asda shoppers this Christmas.
The bags themselves originated from a unique project. Dale Farm challenged the NI public to create an eco bag which would encourage local shoppers to meet the set government targets for plastic bag reduction- eventually deciding on a design by 13 year old Heather Irwin from Magherafelt.
Partnering with Dale Farm, Asda is a firm supporter of the policy “It doesn’t matter which bag you use, as long as it’s a bag for life” and since 2008 has invested £3m to help customers change the habit of a lifetime.
